VetSkill launches industry-led regulated Canine First Aid qualification

VetSkill is thrilled to announce an exciting addition to its growing portfolio of qualifications: the VetSkill VTEC Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid

This Ofqual-regulated qualification perfectly complements the current range of canine-related provisions that VetSkill offer, including dog grooming, veterinary care support, microchipping and canine preventative dental care qualifications. The VetSkill VTEC Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid is designed for individuals working or seeking future employment within the animal care sector.

Development of this qualification has taken an industry-led approach driven by our stakeholders and will support achieving 4- or 5-star ratings in the animal activity star rating system. Statutory guidance for local authorities stipulates a full-time staff member must hold an appropriate Ofqual-regulated Level 3 qualification.

Leanne Ashford, Qualifications Manager, expresses:

“We are delighted to offer a robust Level 3 Canine First Aid qualification to support learners in various canine care roles to provide exceptional service and animal welfare. We have had a huge response to this new qualification and are very excited to assist learners in developing their skills and knowledge to respond in a canine emergency effectively.”

Find out more about this new qualification or get in touch to enquire about becoming a VetSkill-approved centre.
