VetSkill Celebrates 1000 Veterinary Nurses
VetSkill are celebrating a milestone, as learner Jaime Duggan from South Staffordshire College becomes the 1000th student to successfully complete a VetSkill Veterinary Nursing qualification by completing the VetSkill VTEC Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Companion Animal).
Jaime shares; “I started studying Veterinary Nursing at Rodbaston (South Staffordshire) College in February 2022 after working in the veterinary industry as a Patient Care Assistant. Although I am proud of myself for what I have achieved throughout my studies, I couldn’t have done it without the support and guidance from my clinical coach in practice (Emma), my lecturers at Rodbaston (Claire and Nicola) and the Head of Centre (Vicky). To anyone wondering whether the apprenticeship route is for you – DO IT, you won’t regret it! Thank you to everyone who has pushed me to get this far, I can’t wait to see what the future and my career holds as a Registered Veterinary Nurse!
Head of Centre at South Staffordshire College, Vicky Dallaway shares; “The Veterinary Nursing team at South Staffs are all in agreement that Jaime has been an absolute pleasure to teach and assess throughout her time on programme. As a learner she has always tackled everything head on and with a positive and happy attitude. Jaime has always demonstrated her ability on how to stretch and challenge herself, taking onboard all feedback given by staff and used it to make herself the best she could be, demonstrating what an amazing RVN she is going to be!”
VetSkill extends huge congratulations to Jaime on this fantastic achievement, and wishes Jaime well in a future career as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
